After installing the electronic license, the operating system can activate automatically. Automatic activation will be performed if the system is in user mode; in audit mode, this process is not performed automatically, but can be performed manually.

Due to Microsoft’s new requirements regarding license reporting, activation before sending the CBR report constitutes a violation of the reporting procedure and will be subject to an additional fee from April 1. There are several ways to avoid violating reporting conditions:

• perform license installation in audit mode, send a report after license installation, seal the system and do not run it for 4 hours. since sending the report,
• block activation services on the router to prevent communication with Microsoft activation servers,
• use the eXpress Deployment Environment software to carry out the entire installation process – the system will not be activated during the installation process.

Blocking communication with activation servers can be done by adding the following addresses to the list of excluded addresses of the router used by the target computers:

The blocking must be performed on the router, adding rules to the Windows firewall on the target computer will not work.
